Placentia Presbyterian Church

Where Christian Nurture Involves Adventure, Risk, Challenge and Excitement

Forest Home

The youth are the heart of Placentia Presbyterian Church. We encourage all young people in grades 7-12 to be a part of this fun and exciting group of kids as as we learn new ways to praise God, seek to understand God's calling and purpose for our lives and radically live out our faith. Join us for Bible study on Sunday mornings after the worship service or for our midweek Halftime program, Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:45 PM (Junior High) and 5:15 to 8:15 PM (Senior High).

Youth News

Frank

August is here, and unfortunately it means that summer is coming to an end. But we still have events going on so we can enjoy every bit of summer we have left.

We start off August by taking our Sr. High to Rock-n-Water on August 1-5. This is a great trip to white water raft, canyon hike and hang out with one another. If you are signed up, please get a Rock-n-Water form filled out as it must be completed to go.

While the Sr. Highers are away, the Jr. Highers will be having a Pizza and Bowling Night at Titan bowl. On Tuesday, August 3, (instead of the normal swim) we will meet at the church at 5:30 pm and head over to Titan Bowl for bowling and pizza and be back at the church around 7:30 pm. If you are interested, sign up today or talk to Jenna Ririe. You won’t want to miss this evening of fun.

On August 10, the Jr. Highers will be heading to Soak City for the day. There is no better way to beat the heat, if it decides to come back, by spending the day on water slides. If you are planning on going to Soak City, please sign up today. We will be eating lunch at the park, so please make sure that you bring your lunch, so you have energy for the second half of the day. Also, don’t forget to bring your friends to this fun and exciting day at the pool.

Our last event for the summer comes on August 18. We will be having our joint Jr. High and Sr. High swim of the summer. The swim will take place the Eastin’s and will have a special start time of 5:30 p.m. We will be BBQing and playing watermelon football. All of the Jr. Highers are asked to bring drinks and the Sr. High-ers are asked to bring a chips or dessert. We will eat close to 5:45, so we have plenty of time for Bible study and watermelon football. If you need a ride, please contact the office 528-1438.

In Him,

FRANK
