Charity’s Closet is a beautiful thrift shop located at 134 North Bradford Ave in Placentia. It operates primar-ily for the purpose of raising funds for HIS House, the Homeless Intervention Shelter next door to the church. However, after three years of operation, the shop has become much more than a store to buy beautiful, gently used products; it now has become a warm, caring gather-ing place for both volunteers as well as customers. It’s a place where people just like to be.
program is to provide a safe and friendly environment for students to receive assistance in completing their homework. This need is very real. Students who do not perform well in class tend to dread school and classroom participation. The goal of Homework House is to change the attitude a student has toward school. As a student's performance improves, the student becomes a willing participant in the learning process which can turn a child's life around.
